Terms and Conditions

Please note that each piece is handcrafted and made to order by our small team using eco metals. By making in this way we only ever produce what we need. We believe in slow fashion, and making quality products to last, reducing waste in our workshop and later, when your jewellery reaches you- transcending seasons and standing the test of time. Your order will be dispatched as soon as possible however some orders may take up to two weeks due to the techniques involved in creating them. Bespoke designs and jewellery in gold and platinum is subject to a longer turnaround due to hallmarking time frames.

Postage

Online Purchases are subject to a postage and packing charge. All UK orders are insured and sent via Royal Mail. You have the options of Special Delivery so that your jewellery is traceable and insured, we recommend this as your jewellery is covered in transit. You also have the option of First Class recorded delivery, in which your order can be seen in transit however the jewellery is uninsured. If your order goes missing without the Special Delivery postage option having been selected we cannot be held responsible for your goods being lost in transit.

All orders will be dispatched as soon as possible however some orders may take up to two weeks before being dispatched due to the techniques involved in creating them. Bespoke designs and jewellery in gold and platinum is subject to a longer turnaround due to hallmarking time frames.

For international orders we will dispatch via Royal Mails air service, for higher value items a courier service will be used. We cannot be held responsible for timings and delays of the postal service in the destination country.

You will be provided with a tracking number for your order if requested when your order has been dispatched.

Delivery time varies depending on the design. We endeavour to dispatch your order within 7 working days within the UK, but some items may take up to two weeks.

Maximum delivery time is 12 weeks if the item has been made to order, we will inform you if this is the case.

It is your responsibility (the customers) to ensure that your delivery address is correct and accurate at the time of shipping. Islewear will not be held responsible for parcels sent out to incorrect or inaccurate addresses. If arranging delivery to alternate address (friend, relative, work, POBOX, delivery office) it is your responsibility (the customers) to have agreement from this party to accept, receive and care for your parcel.

Bespoke service

We offer a bespoke commissioning service to allow our customers to work alongside us in the designing process to create an entirely unique item designed especially for them. Turn around times for bespoke orders are approximately 8 weeks.

We reserve the right to change the pricing of quotes after 30 days to compensate for fluctuating precious metal pricing.

CANCELLATION POLICY

A bespoke or customised order cannot be changed or cancelled once your deposit has been paid. This is your agreement and commitment to the order. The deposit will not be refunded if you choose to cancel your order once it has been confirmed and production is underway.

PAYMENT TERMS

We require a 50% deposit for bespoke items as confirmation of your order before production can begin. At this point you will be committed to the purchase of design. This is non-refundable. The remaining 50% will then need to be paid in full before dispatch of the order.

Payment can be made by debit card, credit card or bank transfer.

Goods remain the property of Islewear until paid for in full.

QUOTES

Quotes for bespoke work are valid for 2 weeks from time of issue due to the precious metal market volatility.

Sales and returns

SALES AND RETURNS

We hope that you will be delighted with your purchase. If for any reason you are not entirely satisfied we are happy to offer an exchange or credit note,  if the item is returned to us unworn in perfect condition, and in its original packaging within 14 working days of your receipt of the order. If you do wish to return an item, please contact us for further details.

Unfortunately for hygiene reasons we cannot accept the return of earrings.

Sometimes a stone or pearl may become loose, as may be the case with handmade jewellery. If pearls are exposed to chemicals, alcohol, perfume or hand sanitising gel the fixative used to adhere them to your jewellery may become compromised. If you experience this please contact us and we we will do our best to resolve your issue. If any products that we send you are damaged prior to delivery to you, or defective, we will repair or replace the products or refund the price paid by you, provided that you have not worn or used and damaged the products.

If a product is damaged or defective, we require that you tell us within 7 days of receipt of the products

When ordering rings online it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure they have ordered the correct size, we will do our best to resolve any issues and offer a resizing service as we understand mistakes can happen, and fingers change sizes.

Payment Terms

Sale items at a discounted price are not eligible for a refund.

Bespoke items and commissioned items are not eligible for a refund.

We recommend that UK returns be sent by insured special delivery as we are unable to accept responsibility for returned goods not arriving to us. Postage for returns is the customers responsibility.

Each product is handmade, it is therefore unique and small variations will occur. This may result in slight differences from photographs shown.

Stone and metal colours may vary within reason.
